After working for a small local CPA firm and later for a larger regional CPA firm, Ben Patton opened his own practice in 1984 under the name Patton and Patton, CPA's. Ben's wife, Trish, also a CPA, joined the firm a year later in 1985. In 1989 Trish retired from public accounting and on January 1, 1990 Ben merged his practice with John Erskine and started Patton & Erskine, P.C. When Craig Braucht became a principal in 1995, the name changed to Patton, Erskine & Braucht, P.C. John Erskine went into semi-retirement in 2008 and the name was changed again to it's current name - Patton and Braucht, P.C. Ben Patton entered public accounting in 1979 and has experience in a variety of accounting and tax services. He considers himself as a general practitioner with an emphasis in individual, corporate, partnership and trust taxation. In addition to tax preparation, Ben offers income and estate tax planning and assisting clients with buy-sell agreements for businesses. He is the main principal representing our clients before the Internal Revenue Service, and also oversees the firm's quality control program. Craig Braucht has been in the business since 1986 and offers expertise in servicing small businesses and their shareholders.
